In addition to the Prism terms of service for use of the Prism app, the following terms apply when you elect to pay through a Prism Exclusive Payment Option as further described below:

Prism Exclusive Payment Options, Fees, & Refunds

Typically, Prism will present you with the payment options that the Biller or its payment processors may offer directly. At our sole discretion, we may offer Prism-exclusive payment options instead of or in addition to the options the Biller accepts (“Prism Exclusive Payment Options”). For example, if Prism enables a Prism Exclusive Payment Option to pay by credit card where a Biller does not accept credit card payments (the “Prism Exclusive Credit Card Offering”), and you elect to pay the Biller through the Prism Exclusive Credit Card Offering, then we will pay the Biller via a payment method the Biller accepts and re-direct your credit card payment from the Biller to Prism. To determine which payment options are available for a Biller, when viewing a bill in the Prism app, open the Choose Account screen. Available options will be listed and we will make clear if certain options have additional cost to you or take longer to process. If you elected to use a Prism Exclusive Payment Option, you cannot request a refund, cancellation, correction, or reversal of a completed payment to a Biller’s customer service without first obtaining our approval and assistance, which we will not unreasonably withhold.

To facilitate these Prism Exclusive Payment Options, we may utilize our own biller-specific bank accounts to direct funds to the Biller. We will provide the account number and other account details to the Biller to enable your transaction. In certain situations, these details may be retained by the Biller and subsequently visible to you in your saved payment accounts with the Biller (typically on the Biller’s website). While we make an attempt to remove these details, there are some cases where we cannot, due to technical or other limitations. If a payment account is saved by the Biller, you are not authorized to use the account for future transactions with the Biller. In the event that you use one of these saved payment accounts to pay the Biller, we will contact you and we will automatically charge the card associated with the saved account in the amount paid to the Biller plus the associated Prism Exclusive Payment Option fee. If you elect for us to not charge your card, or we are unable to do so, we reserve the right to reverse the transaction with the Biller and the Biller may charge you fees or penalties due to the reversal. We also reserve the right to reverse future transactions at our sole discretion.

Basically: We are offering some new ways to pay a biller to make available additional payment options that your biller may not accept directly. Sometimes, where you elect, there are fees you will pay based upon your payment method but all applicable fees will be disclosed prior to your selection in the App. If you want a refund or cancellation of a payment, you need to contact us directly first and we will then work with your biller to help you obtain the refund or cancellation.
