Paying Your Bill

When you are ready to pay your your bill, check that all the information is correct. Then, pull down on the bill where it says "pull down to pay." The receipt will tear and fall and you will see a dialog box appear that states "bill payment scheduled."

How do I change the payment amount, the date, or the account?

You can do this before you pay your bill. Simply tap on the corresponding section and select the amount you want to pay, the day you would like to pay, and the account you want to pay with. Once all the information looks good, go ahead and pull down to pay! We will remember these settings for next time.

Can I cancel a payment?

If you notice that you made a mistake and need to cancel a payment, you can do so in the app. For payments you schedule for today, you can cancel them for up to ten minutes after you pay. For payments you schedule for a future date, you can cancel them up until the day of payment. To cancel a payment, open the bill you'd like to cancel and tap where it says "Cancel payment" in green.

When will my payment post?

We always pay your bill on the day you schedule it to be paid and most billers will consider your account as paid at that time. When the payment actually posts to your account depends on each biller, though. Larger billers will typically reflect a payment the same day, while some smaller billers can take several business days to post a payment. It can take a bit longer when a payment is made just before the weekend, since Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days.

When will my payment leave my bank account?

Most payments take two to three business days to be withdrawn from your bank account.

Where can I view my confirmation number?

When you pay your bill through Prism, we receive a confirmation number from the biller when they confirm payment. To view this, go to the "Your Billers" screen in the app, select the specific biller, and then choose the previous payment you are interested in. You will see the confirmation number listed there.

What if I paid my bill outside the app?

Just tap the gear icon and select "Mark bill as paid" and the bill will be filed away. You will see a new bill in the app next month.
