Many of you might not even know about it, but we've had a calendar view tucked away in Upcoming Bills for a while now. It had its share of limitations: it wasn't very pretty and it didn't show your upcoming paydays. We've changed all of that. You can now quickly switch between the list that you know and love and a calendar by simply tapping the icon in the navigation bar. You will be able to see bills and paydays arranged on the calendar. By tapping a specific day, you will see anything relevant for that day. Let us know what you think!
Home Screen Simplified
Up until now, when you tap on a bill on the Bills screen, we'd show you some options to adjust the amount and date you plan to pay. We took a hard look at usage data and concluded that that view was getting in the way for many people. You will now be taken directly to a bill when you tap on it. If you still want to tweak things like before, you still can: simply swipe left on the bill and then tap on the gear that appears. We think that this gives you the best of both worlds.
Pay More Than You Owe
We've heard it loud and clear: there are times when you wish to pay more than you owe. With this latest release, you now can. We currently cap the amount you can pay to 3 times what you owe and we'll warn you if you're doing so. If you have feedback, let us know what you think. We'll be adding more payment options in upcoming releases!
Mark as Paid Improvements
Did you mark a bill as paid and then realize that you aren't ready to pay it? Until now, you've had to ask us to unmark bills as paid. This is annoying and inconvenient, so now you can unmark a bill as paid for as long as the biller tells us that it hasn't been paid. Have a bill on autopay that you paid in advance? You can now mark those bills as paid too!
While many billers are good citizens that don't penalize you for paying your bills on the due date, some aren't so friendly. Pay after the 2 PM cutoff? You just earned yourself a $35 late fee! We hate this just as much as you do. While we don't have a way to get rid of the fee yet, we will now show you when the deadline is so you can manage things accordingly. Starting the day before a bill is due, if there is a deadline, you will start seeing it on the bill.
We aim to be comprehensive in our options when adding a payday. We've now added the ability for you to add paydays where you are paid the second, third or fourth Wednesday of every month. If you have another configuration that we don't yet support, let us know!
Previously, the only way you could modify a particular paystub was by doing so in the Bills view of the home screen. You can now inspect individual paystubs when navigating to your individual paydays.
Change Your Phone Number
Changing your phone number has been a hassle for a while now. If you contacted us in support, we could do it for you, but that took a lot of time. You can now change your phone number right in the app. We'll send a code to the new number and once you provide us that code, your number will be changed.
Change Your Password
You've been able to change your password. There's been one catch: you need to know your old password. What was it again? Now, if you don't know your old password, you can still change it. We can send you a code and once you provide us that and your new password, you will be good to go.
- Scrolling: Especially on iOS, you will find scrolling long lists to be a fair amount smoother.
- Bill Icons: We've updated the icons you see when viewing bills to be more in line with the rest of the app.
