Providing Your Phone Number

To finish setting up Prism, you will need to provide your phone number and a password. We will verify your phone number by sending a text message with a security code to your phone.

Why does Prism require my phone number?

Prism requires your phone number so that you can protect your account from being lost if you lose your device. You will be able to sign in again with this information. If you happen to forget your password, you will be able to reset it using your number.

What if I don't have a U.S. phone number?

In this case, the best thing to do would be to sign up for a free phone number through an online provider (Google Voice is quite popular). Once you do that, you can use that phone number to sign up for Prism and pay your bills!

Why doesn't Prism use an email address for signing in?

Email is not very secure. It is much harder for someone to get control of your phone than it is your email account and we want to ensure your information is always safe.
