How Paying Works
Paying your bills in Prism is fast and secure.
How do I pay?
Paying is easy! Choose how much, when, and from where you'd like to pay. Once you've done that, pull down on the bill receipt until it disappears. You'll then be redirected to the Bills tab and see your scheduled payment on the date you selected!
What happens when I pay?
When you pay your bill in Prism, your payment is scheduled to be processed at the time you select. If you select Today, you will have 10 minutes to cancel your payment. After that, if you have linked a balance to your payment account, Prism will confirm that you have enough money in your account. From there, your payment will be sent directly to your biller, just like if you had paid your bill directly on your biller's website. Once the payment is processed, your confirmation number will show up on your paid bill.
Where does my money go?
Since your biller is handling the payment directly, your money flows from your bank account (or credit card) directly to your biller. For bank payments, your money will typically be debited in one or two business days; however, your payment is typically credited immediately. For card payments, your charges will show up right away.
Are there any delays?
Unlike bank bill pay or many other online bill pay solutions, Prism processes your payments with your biller on the day you choose. This eliminates annoying (and confusing!) delays. Note that it does take a few days for your bank payment to transfer, but your biller credits you right away.
What if I have a question about a payment?
Simply message us in Support and we will help you out. We maintain an extensive audit trail of your payments, so if you have any question about a payment you made in Prism, we will have the answer.
