What are Prism Exclusive Payment Options?

Each of your billers supports its own list of payment options. Some billers support many different options: bank accounts, credit cards, and debit cards. Other billers are more limited and may only support bank accounts. For these more-limited billers, Prism can now help! We may offer additional options (like credit or debit cards) for these billers to give you extra flexibility.

Will my payment be made as quickly with these options?

Yes! We will process your payment just like we always do from the billers' perspective. Any processing behavior that your biller normally has will apply for these options.

Do these options cost me money?

Yes, they do. We charge a fee for each of the Prism Exclusive Payment Options that we show you before you make your payment. This helps support our team and covers some of the associated transaction costs.

Why don't I see these options for all of my billers?

We're rolling these options out over time. You should see more and more of your billers support these options as we move forward. If you see a biller that does not have a Prism Exclusive Payment Option you would like, please reach out and let us know!

Why aren't credit cards an option for my biller?

There are certain restrictions around which of your bills can be paid with a credit card. For example, you can't pay your credit card bill with a credit card. For these bills, however, you can use a debit or prepaid card.

How do these options work?

When you choose a Prism Exclusive Payment Option, we will charge your provided credit or debit card, and then we will provide your biller a biller-specific bank account number for them to debit. This approach ensures that your payment is processed just as quickly as the biller normally would. You may see a unique bank account number used - this is expected and normal.
